The Experience
One session. A lot going on.
HOTSPOT is built from a handful of parts that work better together than any of them would alone.
Guided sauna, led by someone who knows the room
Every session is guided — not a silent box you sit in alone. A host runs the round, builds the heat, and leads at least one Aufguss: pouring scented water over hot stones and using a towel to push waves of heat through the room.
Cold enough to change your mind
Cold is optional but encouraged. Four cold plunge baths, with room for two in each. Step in between sauna rounds for the sharp cold rush: a burst of alertness, energy and focus that can linger long after you've warmed back up. Uncomfortable for a moment. Weirdly good afterwards.
A minute to remember you have lungs
Short, guided breathing between rounds — nothing esoteric, just enough structure to bring your heart rate back down before you go again.
Sitting still is allowed
Between rounds there's space to just sit. No pressure to chat, no pressure to perform relaxation. Rest is part of the session, not a gap in it.
Strangers who stop being strangers
Roughly 25 people move through the same rounds together. By the second plunge, most people have said something to someone they didn't arrive with.
The lounge and bar are not an afterthought
Electrolyte water, a proper bar, somewhere to sit that isn't a bench. Plenty of people stay long after the last round ends — that's by design.
More formats are coming
Higher-energy sessions, quieter ones, maybe themed rounds down the line — we're building the range once we know what our founding community actually wants.
